Young Adult Authors’ Showcase

The Leesburg Public Library is still accepting entries for the Local Authors’ Showcase, Saturday, October 11th. The exhibit is open to any author, published or self-published who writes for young adults.

“It's almost a cliché at this point to say that teen fiction isn't just for teens anymore. Just last year, the Association of American Publishers ranked Children's/Young Adult books as the single fastest-growing publishing category.” NPR.org Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and Twilight series of books are current favorites as are classics such as To Kill a Mockingbird and The Hobbit.

Do you know an author who writes appealing reading for teens? If so, call 352-728-9790 or email Dusty.Matthews@leesburgflorida.gov

The Showcase is limited to 20 authors. Entries will be accepted until the roster is filled.
