The Minneola Schoolhouse Library is a full service library offering materials for checkout, placing items on reserve from other libraries for pick-ups/drop-offs, children's and adult programs,computers for internet use, and wireless reception. The library has a Friends Group, the Front Porch Book Club,and Family Story Times. Come and check out our free magazine exchange.

  • “Discover your iPad” at a Beginners’ iPad Class that will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 10:30 am. This class is your first step in learning what your new toy can do. We will give you some valuable tips about maneuvering through the maze with ease.

    “iPad Settings” is an intermediate class that will be on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 10:30 am. This class will include more tips and tricks. Come with any questions that you might have.

    “Learning Even More” is an advanced class that will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. This class is for those that want to hone their skills and learn some shortcuts to become more efficient with their iPad. You may bring your own iPad or borrow one that we will have available for your use. These classes are intended for iPad users only; time does not allow us to introduce or answer questions about other tablets. We must limit each class to eight participants. The classes will be presented by Instructor Jennifer Moton. Sign-up today by calling the library at 352-432-3921.

  • 2 Special Story Time Events @Minneola Schoolhouse Library: The Minneola Schoolhouse Library at 100 South Main Avenue offers Story Time every Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 for pre-school children.

    On Wednesday, April 16 we will be celebrating the Easter season with an Easter story, of course, an Easter egg hunt, of course, as well as seasonal crafts, games and treats.

    On Wednesday, April 23 we will be celebrating Minneola Book Day, a day when the library, supported by the Friends of the Library, gives books away to chosen groups.  Our story reader, Barbara Kingsley, will read a Little Critter story.  Everyone is invited to come in their favorite pair of overalls and each child will have the opportunity to have little critter eyes thanks to the art of face painter Angela Michel.  There will be plenty of Little Critter activities and a free Little Critter book for each child in attendance.   • Spring Used Book, Bake & Yard Sale, Friday, May 2 @ Minneola City Hall The Friends of the Minneola Schoolhouse Library would like to invite you to our Spring Sale. There will be a huge selection of hard cover and paperback fiction, nonfiction and children’s books. These are gently used books that have been donated to the Minneola Schoolhouse Library or thinned from the library collection. There is truly something for everyone. There will be 25 tables full of yard sale items with a great selection of treasures. Our members will be hard at work baking delicious breads, cookies and cakes for the event, as well as offering lunch and snacks. Many of these treats may be frozen and enjoyed later.
