Monthly discussions in the library conference room feature various history related topics including family heirlooms, how to determine historical periods in undated photographs, old family recipes and how to begin researching your family tree.

Basic Conversational Spanish
The Tavares Public Library will offer a free Basic Conversational Spanish Class on Mondays from April 7 to Aug. 25 in the conference Rroom. Please call the reference desk and register. This Spanish course pays equal attention to developing two language skills, listening and speaking, with a special emphasis on the oral aspects of the Spanish language. After this class we will offer a second class. This Spanish course pays equal attention to developing two language skills, reading and writing.
