Let's Talk Trash

Lake County Library System welcomes Cindy Strickland, Public Education Associate for Lake County Office of Information Outreach. Ms. Strickland will “Talk Trash” at the Cooper Memorial Library on Tuesday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. She will discuss the reasons to recycle and how recycling is a “win-win” for our County. Materials that can be recycled will save the high costs of incineration or landfilling. Other positive environmental impacts of recycling will be discussed, including how to get a free recycling bin delivered to your home and how to start your own home recycling program. The presentation will have examples of items showing the types of materials that can be recycled.

Handouts available for citizens to take home will include word searches and crossword puzzles related to recycling, and other “going green” and environmental booklets and flyers.
