Polk County and Lake County Terminate Library Interlocal Agreement

At the request of Polk County, the Interlocal Agreement between Polk County and Lake County will be terminated effective September 30, 2012. The Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement between the Lake County Library System and the Polk County Library System will also be terminated. All reciprocal borrowing cards with the Lake County Library System for residents of Polk County will expire effective October 1, 2012, regardless of the date of issue.

According to a new agreement with Polk County, non-resident cards with the Lake County Library System for residents of Polk County will be available at a special rate of $20 per year, if purchased at the Cagan Crossings Community Library. Non-resident cards are $40 per year, if purchased at any other Lake County Library System member or branch library.
