East Lake County Library will be holding a Christmas Crackers craft for children to celebrate an international holiday tradition on December 7, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Christmas Crackers are part of Christmas celebrations primarily in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Commonwealth countries such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa.
The cracker is a novelty item that each person receives at Christmas dinner. When opened it is filled with a party toy, a joke, a party hat, etc. and a special surprise. Each attendee will make two to take home with them. All supplies and instructions on construction will be furnished. There will be refreshments and holiday music.
