Lake County Library System has Record eBooks Circulation

Lake County Library System began circulating OverDrive eBooks on 8/15/2011. As of November 24, the OverDrive total circulation went over 200,000. The libraries now have 5,925 titles in the eBook and Audiobook collection. Recently added titles include books by Margaret Atwood, William Boyd, Janet Evanovich, Helen Fielding, Neil Gaiman, Elizabeth Gilbert, Charlaine Harris, Joel Osteen and James Patterson. The Litigators by John Grisham with 14 copies has been checked out 1,098 times.

EBooks are available to download from the library’s website 24/7. Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere by visiting http://mylakelibrary.lib.overdrive.com Patrons may browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download to their PC or Mac®, and many mobile devices with the required free software provided.

There are never any late fees! No trips to return books! Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. For those requiring assistance library staff is available. Specialized train-ing on the Kindle may be provided on request by calling 352-253-6164.
