Nourish Your Body series at the Lady Lake Library continues with Eating for Eye Health on Monday, February 24 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Lady Lake Public Library, 225 W. Guava Street, Lady Lake, Florida.
The program includes information on eye diseases, specifically age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy; strategies to help prevent AMD; and specific foods that promote healthy eye function as part of a balanced diet in older adults.
Julie England, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with UF/IFAS Extension Lake County will present the program. “The program will help people learn about risk factors and foods to minimize the risk of vision loss. Eating healthfully now can help you see better, longer”.
