BookFest will feature Roniece Weaver

It’s time for a makeover! Life Guru and cooking sensation Roniece Weaver, author of The New Soul Food Cookbook for People with Diabetes, is bringing her show to the Marion Baysinger Memorial Library on Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m. as part of the Lake County Library System’s 11th annual Lake BookFest, Delicious Reads.

Famous for her cookbooks and nutrition classes, Roniece will help you bring out the best in you with simple, easy to follow tips and tricks for a guaranteed new you. Roniece says yes you can have your soul food and be in control of your health, too. So bring your aunt and cousins to make it an official family makeover. Free mini consultations to the first 10 to arrive plus raffle and prizes available for audience members.

Roniece Weaver is Consulting Dietician for the United States Department of Agriculture and the owner of Roniece Weaver and Associates, Inc. She works as a project manager to develop and standardize healthy recipes for the book Healthy Recipes 4 Kids and is part of a national initiative with the USDA to develop, standardize, test, layout and design three cookbooks for national distribution. She is also Lead Nutritionist on Closing the Gap and Office of Minority Health with Hebni Nutrition Consultants, Inc. She works with a grant program designed to educate African Americans on wellness to reduce disparities with diabetes, obesity and heart disease. She has authored several publications including, Month of Meals, Healthy Soul Food and Family Style Soul Food.
