The World’s Largest Newsstand @ Your Library

The Lake County Library System in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books, is pleased to announce Zinio for Libraries. Awarded Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal, Zinio is the world’s largest newsstand, offering access to popular publications. Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, “O” Magazine, US Weekly, Popular Mechanics, PC World, Newsweek, The Food Network, Good Housekeeping, ESPN, Discover and National Geographic are just a few of the popular titles available. This new database is now available to the public.

Through our website, patrons of all of the Lake County Library System libraries will have multi-user access to complete digital magazines, easily viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video.

“For readers looking for the next big thing to do with their mobile devices, Zinio is it. The Library System is excited to be bringing this innovative service to our patrons, with virtually no restrictions or impediments to access other than getting a library card.” Gary Earl, Library Support Services Manager

Library staff are ready to assist patrons on how to access this service. Information is now available on the library’s website.
