Read a book that makes you gasp, shiver and giggle, you’ll have so much fun it will be criminal! Then create a bookmark illustrating a mysterious adventure. The Lake County Library System is extending the deadline for the 12th annual Bookmark Design Contest for Lake County K-12 students and adults. To make it easier for our valued artists, the deadline for submissions has been extended to February 28th, 2011. Show off your creativity and design one that reflects what you feel when reading a good mystery!
The winning artists will be announced and honored on April 2nd at “Mystery @ the Library”, a fun YA Festival of Reading event with an interactive play, games and music, all in the beautiful Leesburg Public Library. Copies of the winning bookmark designs will be available for the first time at the event! Entry forms and guidelines may be found on the library website www.mylakelibrary.org/bookmark_design_contest/ or picked up at any of the following library locations: Astor Library, Baysinger Memorial Library (Groveland), Cagan Crossings Community Library (Four Corners area), Cooper Memorial Library (Clermont), East Lake Library (Sorrento), Fruitland Park Library, Helen Lehmann Memorial Library (Montverde), Lady Lake Public Library, Leesburg Public Library, Marianne Beck Memorial Library (Howey-in-the-Hills), Minneola Schoolhouse Library, Paisley Library, Tavares Public Library, Umatilla Public Library, and W.
