East Lake Welcomes Youth Services Assistant

The East Lake Library staff would like to welcome our newest addition. He is Jordan Konicki and he is our new Youth Services Assistant. Jordan started on April 11, 2011 and he hit the ground running with two storytimes during the week, a Pre-School Storytime on Tuesdays' at 10:30 a.m. and Baby & Toddler Storytime on Wednesdays' at 10:30 a.m. He is presently heading our Summer Reading which will run through July 27.

Jordan is EMT Certified and was a Substitute Teacher for Umatilla Elementary and is still part of the Leadership Team at North Pointe Fellowship.  He is a young man who enjoys being around kids of all ages. He enjoys creating fun activities, from making crafts to reading and sharing common interests. He has a genuine rapport with the kids. Parents have taken to him and he has gained their respect and trust. Jordan is always open to new ideas and parent input.

Jordan will coordinate all youth programming for from birth through the teen years. He wishes invites you and your family to come and enjoy the programs featured this summer and all future programs. We hope you become as excited about the new youth programming at East Lake.
