Friends of Fruitland Park Library to host Booksale and Fall Festival
The Friends of the Fruitland Park Library will host their booksale and first ever Fall Festival on Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The sale will be inside the library and the festival will occur at the Pavilion of the adjoining Gardenia Park. The festival will include: a craft sale, the Chick-Fil-A cow and free facepainting, karaoke, produce from the Allen farm, a children's bookfair and food from Just Another Bite catering. All are welcome to attend!
Trick or Treat in the Library
Preschool aged children and their parents or caregivers are invited to trick or treat in the library during the regular Wednesday storytime on October 29, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Treat bags will be provided to each child.
Calling all tweens and teens, ages 12-17 years to participate in an "after hours scavenger hunt" in the library. This event will officially dedicate "newly constructed young adult area" in the library. The event will begin run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2008. Pizza and drinks will be served after the scavenger hunt.

The Lake County Ladies Chorus will perform a holiday concert at the Fruitland Park Casino Community Center on Wednesday, December 3rd at 2:00 p.m. The Casino is located at 604 W. Berckman Street, just four blocks west of the library. The Friends of the Library are sponsoring this concert and will be serving seasonal snacks after the concert.
Santa at Storytime
Santa will visit the PreK storytime on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to join us, and pet the reindogs (greyhounds).
President's Day Preparations
All veterans are invited to share their memories at a special reception at the Fruitland Park Library on November 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. We invite everyone to come and meet these fine people who have given so much to our country. We are collecting photos and memorabilia prior to this event.
