Minneola Library Winter Happenings!

New Programs for Adults:

The Literary Book Club debuts on 1/6 at 10:00 a.m. This will be an organizational meeting with future books to read being chosen by members. The club will meet on the first Friday of each month.

Join us for a wonderful Saturday afternoon, 1/21 at 2:00 p.m. learning about the Sacred Healing Oils of India. Our speaker for this workshop is Ms. Katie Haley, author and owner of Cosmic Flower Aromatherapy. She will be signing copies of her new book "A Diamond for India." Book purchases will include a special gift. All are welcome!

Home Foreclosure Alternative Workshop will be held on Sat. 2/11 at 10:30 a.m. Ms. April Rager, who is a short sale specialist with Coldwell Banker will discuss programs available to distressed homeowners who are ready to leave their homes.

New Programs for Children:

Minneola Library Kids' Club will meet for ten Tuesdays after school at 3:30 p.m. beginning 1/3. This program is geared toward children in grades kindergarten through second grade. We will have Reading to the Dogs on the front porch, and we will make seasonal crafts, play some games and have a snack. Please call the library to register for this program at 352-432-3921.

Special Saturday Storytimes will be held this winter. We welcome Ms. Heather for a fun, Musical Storytime on 1/21, and Ms. Claire  on 2/4 who will be reading the Llama, Llama stories to us. Ms. Claire will also be bringing a live llama and alpaca for us to meet. These programs will each begin at 10:30 a.m.

Ongoing programs at the library include: computer lessons, introduction to genealogy/Ancestry.com, the Front Porch Book Club and our regular Family storytimes on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Stop by the library for more information and pick up a monthly activity calendar!
