The Cooper Memorial Library, Lake-Sumter Community College and the University of Central Florida, invites you to participate in the 2nd Annual South Lake Green Festival. The event will be held on Saturday, February 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lawn of the Cooper Memorial Library in Clermont. Thanks to the generosity of the Edmond Amateis Foundation, this event is free of charge.
Once again, we look forward to bringing the South Lake community together with an outdoor Festival that celebrates Community Spirit, Conservation, Recycling and ‘Green Living.’ Over 500 people of all ages attended last year’s South Lake Green Festival and enjoyed entertainers, music, and visited more than 25 exhibitors!
Entertainment such as Jiggleman and GimmeShimmy Belly Dancing will delight audiences. Children will enjoy free face painting, balloon animals, meeting "Froggy," and making crafts. Fair style food such as pork and pizza will be for sale. Local green businesses will educate and sell wares. Discover local organic farmers, a green dry cleaner, home improvement, alternative healers, consignments, kayaking and yoga. Donate blood at the Florida's Blood Center's Big Red Bus or watch environmental documentaries from Green Planet Stream.Throughout the day a variety of demonstrations and workshops will be offered.
If you are interested in being an exhibitor for this year’s festival, we would like to offer a booth to promote your services. For additional information please contact Beth Lucas at to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 352-536-2275. We would be honored to include you in the 2013 Festival!
