Beginning Genealogy Course

Carol Anderson

The Leesburg Public Library will again offer the popular three-part series, Beginning Genealogy, on Monday afternoons in August (August 5th, 12th, and 19th from 1-4 pm).  These classes fill up quickly, so be sure to pre-register early.  Beginning on Saturday, June 1st, you may register for the August series by phone at 352-728-9790 x 3560, by e-mail to Carol.Anderson@leesburgflorida.gov, or in person at the 2nd floor Information Desk, Leesburg Public Library, 100 East Main Street, Leesburg.  Pre-registration includes a $15 donation to the Friends of the Leesburg Library who sponsor this series.  Topics will include getting started; using basic genealogy forms, census, court and military records; researching female ancestors; and an introduction to library databases and online resources for researching by computer.  Join the fun with one of America's most popular pastimes - genealogy!
