Elaine Viets Special Guest at the 2014 BookFest

Featuring her latest novel, Board Stiff

Elaine Viets writes two national bestselling mystery series. Her Dead-End Job series is a satiric look at a serious subject – the minimum-wage world. Her character, Helen Hawthorne, works a different low-paying job each book, from telemarketer to hotel maid. Publishers Weekly called her hardcover debut “wry social commentary.” The critically acclaimed Board Stiff is the twelfth Dead-End Job novel.

Elaine’s second series features St. Louis mystery shopper Josie Marcus. Murder Is a Piece of Cake is her eighth adventure. The debut, Dying in Style, tied with Stephen King on the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association bestseller list. Elaine won the Agatha, Anthony and Lefty Awards.

Elaine will be returning to Lake County on Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15 to the 2014 BookFest.  Delicious Reads will feature her latest novel, Board Stiff
