Easy Nails for Valentines and St. Patricks Day

Nail polish is a fun way to celebrate the holidays. Before you do the steps in any of these tutorials make sure to file your nails and lay down a base coat. You can do all your nails in a design or just one as an accent nail. Hav fun with it, don't be afraid to experiment!

Matte and gloss black French tips
1. Apply 2 thin coats of a matte black polish. (There are top coats available that will give any polish a matte finish.) Let thoroughly dry.
2. Position an adhesive guide strip leaving about 1/4 inch (or more) nail exposed above the strip.
3. Use either a black nail polish or top coat to paint the exposed nail. Paint in the direction of the red arrows. Before the paint is dry, slow and steadily pull guide strip off starting on one side.
4. Let completely dry. Do not use a top coat, it will ruin the matte effect.
