Truth & Lies, Told with Sparkling Irish Eyes

Storytelling at the Leesburg Public Library
Carol Anderson

Is it possible that the gift of gab can be transmitted genetically?  Since she was a child listening to stories from her Irish father, Maureen Belote has been mesmerized by storytelling. She has grown to be a respected member of the storytelling community, serving as president of the Tampa Bay Storytellers' Guild and member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Storytelling Association.  There is a lilt in her voice when she weaves Irish tales drawn from tradition and from first-hand experience.  This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Leesburg Library and will be offered at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 15th at the Leesburg Public Library, 100 East Main Street, Leesburg.  For further information, visit Maureen's website at www.StorytellerMaureenB.com or contact the Leesburg Library at (352) 728-9790 or email librarian@leesburgflorida.gov
