CareerSource Central Florida @ Cagan Crossings Community Library

Claudia Piper

Need help looking for a job? Need computer skills? Need a resume? Need interviewing skills? If you answered yes to any of these questions, come to the Cagan Crossings Community Library every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and get the help you need from the experts, CareerSource (formerly Workforce Central Florida).

CareerSource Central Florida has been providing the same employment services they offer at their brick-and-mortar offices at Cagan since October 2013. Whether in the mobile unit, a bus equipped with a computer lab or in the library’s computer lab, CareerSource has been able to help over 350 people. Every week our CareerSource representative, MariCarmen, introduces attendees to the Employ Florida Marketplace and helps guide them through the job hunting process. Additionally, she workshops resumes and does mock interviews to prepare people for the hiring process. For example, there have been two hiring events at Cagan with a total of seven local employers. MariCarmen prepared CareerSource attendees for these events, ensuring they had a resume to present and that they were ready and confident for the interviews.

Beginning July 2nd basic computer classes will be offered through CareerSource from 5-7 p.m. in the computer lab. For more information, please call 352-243-1840.
