All students (K-12) and adults in Lake County are encouraged to enter as many times as they wish.
Photography Contest Celebrates Creativity
This year’s theme will be Viva Libros! to support the 10th annual Lake County BookFest. Original photo entries are now being accepted at all LCLS libraries.
2nd Annual South Lake Green Festival
The event will be held on Saturday, February 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the lawn of the Cooper Memorial Library in Clermont.

The Civil War in Florida
Award winning author Robert Macomber will present a series of three programs during the BookFest describing Florida's involvement in the Civil War.
Presidents in Florida
Dr. James C Clark will present two programs on how U.S. Presidents have played a major role in shaping Florida, whether waging wars, protecting the environment, seeking votes, or just drawing media attention to the state's attractions.
Poetry Day
Poetry Day will be held on Thursday, March 14th in the W.T. Bland Public Library

Celebrate Art
Works from award winning photographer John Moran and celebrated artist Catherine Stockwell will be featured at the BookFest.
The Florida Crackers
Lake BookFest will feature two of Lake County’s colorful and popular Cracker authors, William H. Good and Bob Lovell.
Viva Libros Poetry Contest
Special guest judge, Pulitzer Prize nominee Vivian Shipley will select 18 winners. These poets will be invited to attend a special private workshop with Ms. Shipley.

Author Doug Dillon will discuss his tantalizing paranormal tales from America’s oldest and most haunted city
Young Adult Literature
A special feature of the young adult program this year is the 'school visits project', which will send authors Ryan Van Cleave and Christopher Tosier to local schools where they will participate in discussions, readings and conversations.
The Man with the Fish on His Foot
On Tuesday, March 12th award winning author Bob Morris will be featured in an event to honor the 15 Friends of the Library groups.
Viva Florida 500 Speakers and Programs
Dr. Jason Moser, Julie England,Jules Turcsanyi, Bob Grenier special guest speakers to showcase Florida's rich heritage and diverse cultural history.
Writing Workshops
First class writing workshops with featured authors Vivian Shipley, Mary Anna Evans, Wendy Corsi Staub and Alison Gaylin on Saturday, March 16 at the W.T. Bland Public Library.
