The Writers Page: The Storm

The Storm
By Martin McGarvey

The air didn’t feel just right
When I walked out tonight
No moon, no star
I won’t stray too far

The wind doth roar
And the rain does pour
Best you stay inside
While the lightning rides

The gods are provoked
No need to get soaked
Just don’t tempt fate
Wait, it will abate

While the spirits roam
Why not stay at home
