Donations Needed for BookFest Raffle and Auction

Donations are being sought for the raffle and silent auction to benefit library programs.  The award winning BookFest will include a silent auction to raise money for future programs at the annual Authors’ Reception to be held in the Leesburg Public Library on Friday, March 15, 2014. Gift baskets, certificates for products or services or items are welcome! A significant reward package is offered to our valued donors. Each will be included in the festival program, on event signage and on the library website. Donations of larger items are also greatly appreciated and offer increased recognition.

March 10 – 15, 2014, the Lake County Library System will present the 11th annual BookFest, Delicious Reads, including the best of mystery and crime fiction. Joining us this year will be members of the Florida Chapter of the Mystery Writers of America, an outstanding organization of published and aspiring authors, editors, agents, screenwriters and other professionals in the crime genre field. In addition, the Capital Crime Writers from Ottawa, Canada will add 3 international writers to our list of featured authors. Over the past decade, Canadian mystery writers have made a splash on bestseller and award lists around the globe.

The BookFest’s mission is to encourage the love of reading and to offer the highest quality literary events and activities. The BookFest is supported by grants, donations and the Friends of the Library.

A schedule of the workshops for upcoming writers and the author appearances is available along with a list of participating authors on the Lake County Library System website at http://www.mylakelibrary.org/festival_of_reading/default.aspx or by calling 352-253-6167.
