Keeping your bones and joints healthy is a lifelong process. Many people experience some joint stiffness especially during seasonal changes. However, degenerative diseases such as arthritis and osteoporosis can severely impact their lives. Learn more about this on Monday, March 31, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Lady Lake Public Library, 225 W. Guava Street, Lady Lake, Florida
The Nourish Your Bones and Joints program at the Lady Lake Public Library provides information on nutrient-rich foods and appropriate physical activity that are important for bone and joint health. Balance, improving flexibility, and reducing the risk of falling will also be discussed. The program is presented by Julie England, Family and Consumer Sciences agent with University of Florida/IFAS Extension Lake County.
Ms. England holds two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida and one in Environmental Studies from Rollins College. She also has a Masters in Agriculture Education and Communication from the University of Florida.
