East Lake County Library Poetry Contest

In honor of April, National Poetry Month, the East Lake County Library is sponsoring the 12th Annual Poetry contest. There is no limit to how many entries that can be submitted by one person. Qualifying entries can be on any topic or any style of writing but must be typed on ONE page of 8 ½ x 11” paper. Entries are being now being accepted. The deadline for entries is May 3, 2014.

The Poetry Contest is for all ages and will be separated into three age groups: Children’s Group, to 12 years old; Teen Group, 13-18 years old; and Adult Group, 19 and up. The Contest will be judged by the Palm Writers Group. Prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners of each age group. Honorable mentions will receive a certificate and every entry will win a certificate for participation.
