The Lake County Library System will host a series of four beginning computer classes during the months of July and August. The first class will be held on Wednesday, July 16, at 9:00 a.m. at the East Lake Library. Classes will explore the inter-workings of the computer and learn how to use a computer for everyday tasks.
These free classes will present basic beginning computer skills that will include:
• Understanding the hardware components of your computer
• Using the mouse to navigate
• Browsing the Internet
• Creating documents using Microsoft Word
This four part series will be held Wednesday mornings through August 6th at the East Lake County Library, located at 31340 C.R. 437 S. Sorrento.
Classes will be taught by Barbara Perry, Learning Experience Coordinator for the Lake County Library System. Barbara holds an MBA and Masters in Organizational Development. She is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer as well as a certified Microsoft Application Specialist. She has worked as an IT consultant and has taught technology topics for business organizations at both the College and University level. “Technology does not need to be scary or complicated. Computers are a tool that anyone can learn to use. Come to class, have some fun and we will help you put aside your technology phobias!”
