In 1844, James Russell Lowell wrote “And what is so rare as a day in June? Then, if ever, come perfect days.” He was right - June was perfect for coming to the library – and joining the Adult Summer Reading Program at the Leesburg Public Library.
This year the theme is “Water Your Mind ~ READ!” Just pick up your registration packet at the library, fill out the basic registration form, put it in the big green watering can on the first floor Service Desk, then turn in a simple review form for each book you read (audio books count, too!) and each program you attend. On August 16th, names will be drawn for “Prize Pots” full of gardening books, gift cards, and more. Winners will be notified!
On July 17th @ 10:30 am, the popular October Mountain Washtub Band performs bluegrass, gospel, and patriotic numbers. We round out the summer with Tom Wilcox presenting “The Language of Flowers” on Thursday, August 12th @ 2 pm and Bethany Burnett singing Broadway selections on Saturday, August 14th @ 2 pm for “Water Your Mind with Song.”
Come join the fun! For further information, call the Leesburg Public Library at 351-728-9790 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
