Rock the Runway for Teen Read Week

Teen Fashion Show at the Cooper Memorial Library

What better day to hold a charity fashion show than 'Make a Difference Day'? On Saturday, October 23rd the Cooper Memorial Library will host a spectacular teen fashion extravaganza with clothes provided by Rue 21 and live music! This special event is geared for ages 16-25 and will incorporate a food drive to benefit local food banks, a unique spin on a traditional charity fashion show.

Lake County Library System libraries are not only places for learning but encouragement. Our staff will join the more than 5,000 librarians and educators who will celebrate Teen Read Week™, October 17-23. This year's theme is Books with Beat @ your library®," encourages teens to read poetry, audiobooks, books about music, and more.
