Donations Sought for Festival Auction

Silent Auction to be held at Murder, Mystery and Mayhem

The award winning Festival of Reading will include a silent auction at the annual Authors’ Reception, “Dying to Meet You”. Donations are being sought for the auction which benefits library programs. Gift baskets, certificates for products or services or items are welcome! A significant reward package is offered to our valued donors. Each will be included in the Festival program, on event signage and on the library website:
Donations of larger items are also greatly appreciated and offer increased recognition.
April 2nd through 9th the Lake County Library System will present the Festival of Reading 2011. In response to requests from our many readers, this year’s theme will be Murder, Mystery and Mayhem, including the best of mystery and crime fiction!

The award winning Festival, one of Florida's premier literary events will feature New York Times bestselling author Tim Dorsey; Hallie Ephron’s newest novel is a gripping psychological suspense, Never Tell a Lie currently in production as a movie for Lifetime/TV; Sharon Potts’ In Their Blood is the winner of the 2010 Benjamin Franklin Award in the Mystery /Suspense Category and has just been awarded the Silver Medal, ForeWord Book of the Year Award; Deborah Sharp former reporter for USA Today author of funny the Mace Bauer Series; award-winning novelist H. Terrell Griffin’s Wyatt's Revenge was named National Best Book of The Year (2009) in the mystery/suspense category by USA Book News; Joyce Elson Moore is an award winning author of historical fiction. Our special guest this year will be James Grippando, the bestselling author of sixteen novels of suspense from HarperCollins including Money to Burn, Intent to Kill, Born to Run, Last Call, Lying with Strangers, Got the Look, Hear No Evil, and The Pardon, many of them part of his Jack Swyteck series.

The Festival of Reading‘s mission is to present the highest quality literary and cultural events and activities to encourage the love of reading. The event is primarily supported by grants, donations and the Friends of the Library.
