The Marion Baysinger Library in Groveland is hopping again this summer as we continue with the Summer Reading Program. Still to come in July are Jiggleman on July 5th, Scott Humston's magic show on July 12th, and Ninth Period's Around the World in 60 Minutes featuring puppetry, music and live animals. Due to space limitations at the library, these programs will be held at the Mascotte Civic Center at 2:00 pm. Storytimes for younger children will be held at the library every Wednesday morning at 10:30 through July 27th, and family movies will be shown at 2:00 every Thursday through July 21st.
For the first time, the library is also sponsoring a summer reading program for middle and high school students. Over 35 young people have registered for a chance to win the grand prize which will be awarded to the person who has read the most throughout the summer.
In other library news, the Friends of the Library will hold their annual blockbuster book sale in conjunction with the South Lake 4th of July celebration at Lake David Center in Groveland. Proceeds from this sale will help to fund library programs throughout the upcoming year.
