It is that time of year when all thoughts go to the East Lake County Library's Annual Bluegrass Festival. This year it will be on Saturday March 31, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be plenty of good music, food and fun for the whole family. Possible line-up includes Blackwater Creek, High Caliber, Dixie Bluegrass Express, The Hallelujah Sisters and The Over The Hill Gang. We will also have the return of Happy Faces face painting for kids of all ages.
On the same day the East Lake County Friends of the Library Spring Booksale/Bakesale. They will also have a raffle and community yardsale with plenty of books and other items for sale. All the proceeds go to help the East Lake County Library.
We will be having special guest Steve Earls of Square Foot Gardening Supply in Eustis. Steve will be on site to demonstrate and to answer your questions about this simple, unique and versatile system that adapts to all levels of experience, physical ability, and geographical location. He is certified by the SFG Foundation.
It will be a fun day, so come on out and enjoy the fun. Contact the Library at 352-383-9980 for details.
On January 23 at 10:30 a.m. we will be hosting "Let's Talk Trash", a program on Lake County Recycling. Please come for an informative talk by Cindy Strickland and have your questions answered.
See you all at the Bluegrass Festival.
