Martha Policke's first experience in business administration was as a teenager when she worked after school in the Business Administration Office at Fish Memorial Hospital in DeLand. When she worked for the Empire of America Bank in DeLand, her business career expanded into bookkeeping, managing credit, and governing consumer and business finances. She became a full-charge bookkeeper for a local insurance agent in DeLand which included payroll, taxes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, audits, and financial statements. The next period of time was spent in Nevada where she was the Executive Assistant to the President of Credit Managers’ Association of Northern Nevada. Furthering her business experience, Martha worked for the Anheuser-Busch Budweiser Distributing Company as Credit Manager. After a move back to Florida, the next 19 years were spent working for the Walt Disney World Company as a bookkeeper and advancing to Business Center Manager of the Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts Convention Center. Her next employment was at St. Barnabas Episcopal School where she worked as Office Manager for the past eight years.
Martha’s working philosophy is based on Christian Principles of “love thy neighbor” and “help one another”. Martha is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Alfred Policke. She has two sons, Adam and Matthew. Her hobbies include a passion for white-water rafting, traveling, ping-pong, music, and dancing. Martha’s interests involve outdoor activities, sports, and volunteering in the community.
