eBook Usage Continues to Grow

The Lake County Library System began offering downloadable eBooks in August, 2011.  Since that time, usage of this service has increased steadily.  The total circulation has now exceeded 52,500 for a collection of appoximately 3,250 titles.

To download eBooks, go to the Lake County Library System website at www.mylakelibrary.org, and click on the link to our Overdrive website in the upper right hand corner.  Or you can go directly to the Overdrive website by going to mylakelibrary.lib.overdrive.com.  Once you get to the Overdrive website, there is a section in the upper left hand corner called Getting Started.  Click on links to Help, Compatible Devices, and Required Software for additional information.

New titles are added regularly, as well as duplicate copies of high demand titles.  There are still vendors who will not license eBooks for library use or who impose additional limits or higher costs; however, the Lake County Library System is trying to provide a well rounded eBook collection for the use of our patrons.
