Lisa Black @ Leesburg Public Library

Forensic Scientist and Police Chief Provide an Evening of Fun!
Barbara Morse

Lisa Black, author and forensic specialist for Coral Gables Florida, appeared at the Leesburg Public Library on Sept. 17 to talk about her newest book Takeover. The new novel introduces Forensic Scientist Theresa MacLean in what we hope will be a continuing series.   The novel is written with the excitement and suspense readers have come to expect from writers like Kathy Reichs and Tess Gerritsen.

Ms. Black was introduced to the audience by Leesburg Police Chief Bill Chrisman.  Chief Chrisman's well-known sense of humor started the evening on a perfect note.  A large audience enjoyed comments from both Ms. Black and the Chief prior to having their books signed by the author.  Ms. Black was pleased with the "credibility" she received by the support of our local Police Department.  The program was co-sponsored by the PD along with the Leesburg Library and the Lake County Library System.  Refreshments were provided by the Z-Cafe who served their signature Leesburg Blend Coffee and the Friends of the Library.

Leesburg will be offering more authors and book signings with the Lake County Library System's new Authors @ the Library series.
