Fizz, Boom, and definitely READ!

Summer Reading Programs
Linda Goff

Lake County Library System’s 15 public libraries invite you to attend free activities and events that are exciting and fun! This summer’s theme, Fizz, Boom, Read, features reading incentives, special presenters, storytimes, and interactive experiences with a focus on science.

While exploring the magical world of science this summer with hands-on experiments, robot building, Grossology fun, nature explorations and much more, public libraries offer book lists for various ages and reading levels. You can find these helpful booklists at http://mylakelibrary.org/virtual_library/summer_reading_lists.aspx

Young people who participate in summer library programs keep their minds active and enter school in the fall ready to learn and ready to succeed. Your librarian will be happy to help you find books that are just right for your child to discover all the treasures the library has to offer. Participants can even earn cool incentives by keeping track of the time spent reading this June and July.

If you haven’t joined Lake County Library System’s summer reading program yet, head to your nearest public library to pick up a schedule or check out the Lake County Library System’s website at www.mylakelibrary.org Remember, public library programs are free of charge.
