Lake County Library System and the W. T. Bland Public Library welcome special guest and Pulitzer Prize nominee Vivian Shipley to celebrate National Poetry Month.
Bookmark and Photography Contest Winners Announced
The winning bookmark designs and photographs are available and printable from the library system’s web site.
Delicious Reads a Success!
The 2014 BookFest, Delicious Reads featured 28 separate events and 15 best-selling authors. Libraries featured writing workshops, informative history programs and author events, with an attendance of approximately 2,144 people.
Celebrate National Library Week
National Library Week will be observed April 13-19, 2014 with the theme, "Lives change @ your library®. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.
12th Annual Poetry Contest
The East Lake County Library is holding its 12th Annual Poetry Contest in honor of April as National Poetry Month. Entries are being accepted now until May 3, 2014.
Pre-GED Language Arts classes are now forming
This program will provide extra help with the basic reading and basic writing skills needed to enter the GED classroom. Classes will run from April 22 through June 19th, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m.
