Adventures in Paradise
The 7th annual Festival returns with great authors and events! From March 17th through the 20th everyone in our community will experience Adventures in Paradise. Writing workshops and author events will be featured and Friday evening we will host a gala reception for all of our authors at the awesome Leesburg Public Library.
Solutions for Your Life @ the library
The Lake County Library System will partner The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) to present a series of programs designed to educate and inform the public on life enriching topics.
Peanut Butter P.O.P. "People Overcoming the Problem of Hunger"
In Lake County, we have residents living below the poverty level. In the past three years, Peanut Butter P.O.P. has greatly helped residents needing food assistance by the annual collection of peanut butter jars.
Behind the scenes @ the library
How are the subjects selected for the material in the online catalog? The idea behind the way we choose subject headings is for them to be consistent and controlled. We use Library of Congress subject headings manuals or as we catalogers call them “The big red books” to choose subject headings.
Citizenship Class at the Cagan Crossings Community Library
