Big Library Read: April 5-19, 2021

The Big Library Read (by OverDrive/Libby), is a free online reading program that connects readers around the world with the same ebook at the same time without any wait lists or holds. This program takes place three times a year. The first program of the year features the book "The Art of Taking It Easy" by Dr. Brian King.

Updates: library hours

The Leesburg Public Library will extend their hours starting Monday, Feb. 15. The Lady Lake Public Library and the W.T. Bland Public Library in Mount Dora will extend their hours starting in March. The Minneola Schoolhouse Library will extend their hours starting Monday, April 5. The Fruitland Park Library will extend their hours starting Monday, May 3.

The East Lake County Library is holding the 19th Annual Poetry Contest in honor of April as National Poetry Month. Entries will be accepted now through Monday, May 10, 2021. Open to all ages: children, teens, and adults.

Register for a library card!

Lake County residents and reciprocal borrowers without a Lake County library card can register for one to use our online resources. Patrons will then need to pick up their library card at their library. Please also consider registering to vote or updating your voter registration online at https://registertovoteflorida.gov/home.
